Our Team
Funeral Director/Services Manager
Opie Padgett is a native of Middle Tennessee. He began his career at age 16 working in his local funeral home, and is a 2001 graduate of John A. Gupton College. He obtained his Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) designation in 2006 from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, whose mission is committed to life-long learning and excellence in funeral service. Opie has worked with the families in the greater Nashville area for more than 15 years.
Funeral Director
Stephanie Sylvester graduated as the valedictorian from John A. Gupton College in 2019 with a degree in mortuary science. Originally from Chicago, she previously worked as a performer and dancer for many years touring the globe with various productions. After retiring her sparkles and feathers, she moved to Nashville to pursue her second career in funeral service and never looked back. She joined Neptune Society in January 2022 as Funeral Director. Stephanie loves helping families, and considers herself very fortunate to work in such a rewarding field.
Sales Manager
Heather Wilbanks is from Indian Rocks Beach, FL, and joined Neptune Society when she moved to Nashville in 2017. Heather came from commercial real-estate development, and decided she wanted to start a new chapter of her life helping families find peace of mind for the future. She now leads the Legacy office as a Sales Manager in Brentwood.
Sales Manager
Thomas “Tommy” Emerson was born and raised in Lawrenceburg, TN, and joined Neptune Society in 2020. He was formerly a firefighter/medic with the Summertown Fire Department and taught special education for 11 years. Tommy wanted a job that continued to serve a purpose, as well as help people, and Neptune Society was the right fit.
Office Coordinator
Born in Savannah, GA, Marshall Hostettler has lived in Nashville for most of her life. Marshall worked in preneed sales with Dignity Memorial for 9.5 years before joining Neptune Society in December 2021 as Office Coordinator. She loves working with families and serving her community.
