Let’s be real for a minute, people.

You can plan and organize or choose not to,

but death is a train and it’s been on the tracks since birth.

When it comes, those left behind are in for a rough time.

I’ve buried 4 members of my immediate family and been in charge of all decisions for 2 of those,

so I know.

Neptune was like a warm blanket after a cold night in the field.

They handle things, call people and agencies that need to be called, get paperwork done,

respond quickly to inquiries, explain and organize options …

they get the job done.

I had other things to deal with of course,

but Neptune’s involvement was reassuring and dependable.

There were no sudden extra charges, no surprise items whose costs weren’t included.

Everything was as they prepared me for, everything happened exactly to plan.

They cared for my mother last month.

They’ll be caring for my wife someday, and me as well.

Their service was that solid.

I could have tried to pay less

but it wouldn’t have been worth it.

I know that for a fact now.

Get this done, people.

Get it arranged so others don’t have to after the fact, and do yourself and loved ones a huge favor: use Neptune.

Planning for the end of your life can be uncomfortable but the Neptune Society representative was patient, considerate, and thoroughly explained the services available. She helped to make the decisions relatively easy. This should take the burden of choices off my family at an emotional time.

Years ago my parents bought policies with Nepture and when the time came I was not sure what to expect. I was treated kindly from the first phone call. I was impressed by Gabby and I had confidence that my loved one would be treated with respect.

I don’t have much experience with the performance of cremation services, but if the Neptune Society performs like its representatives, my family will be 100% satisfied.

If you are ready to set your plans in order. This is a very good company to do it with. They will help you make your plan the way you want it. This will take the stress off of your family’s shoulders and let them say goodbye in peace.

My father was a veteran and I was touched when they draped him with the American Flag as they took him into their care. Prepaying for a cremation makes some people nervous, but the care, compassion, and attention to detail my father received far exceeded our exceptions.

Working with Neptune was an excellent experience. Susan had very good customer service and was caring and compassionate. She explained the whole process to me. Emailed me papers to read. Said she would contact me in a couple of days to go over everything and see if I wanted their services. When she contacted me I was ready to sign up. This is going to help my family when I pass. Everything will be paid for.

Our sister passed in 2019. My brother-in-law stated how appreciative he was that they had contacted Neptune Society and recommended them for our brother who was declining quickly from cancer. The paperwork was simple and easy to complete. Upon our brother’s passing, we contacted Neptune. The young man and woman who showed up were so respectful and kind. They gave us as much time as we wanted and as they slowly drove away, they played a song from one of his favorite groups. Our deepest appreciation to Neptune Society.

My mother left a month ago. Since then the help we have received from the funeral home has been very important, as we are outside the USA. We were provided with information and support at all times. The procedures were simple and diligent thanks to Mr. John Smilie. It is not a service that one wishes to recommend, but when needed, it is always good to have the professional, human and considerate support that we received at all times.

I saw the frustration and stress my nephews were going through to get their mom cremated who lived out if town. They thought everything was taken care of. I want to be responsible and make an already difficult time easier for my daughters. I provided a copy of the contract to them, I have my urn and I provided them with Neptune’s contact info. The best part is that it’s transferrable to other states. Check it out.

Losing a loved one is very difficult and can leave you feeling vulnerable or overwhelmed with all the options available. If you know that your loved one wanted to be cremated, then Neptune Society is the place to go. The staff is kind and professional. There are options for extras, but we felt no pressure to buy anything. We did choose to purchase a few items and were pleased with the quality. Gabriella (Bandera Road site/San Antonio) is supportive and patient when working with you. She does an excellent job of explaining what is included in each package. If you need to make a change, she is prompt to respond to your needs, making it so much easier. We were pleased with all the help that she provided and would definitely recommend the Neptune Society to others.

The process was so amazingly simple. Carolyn made a hard situation so much easier than we thought. Our loved one died unexpectedly in another state and all of the arrangements were made. We simply had to wait for her to make her calls and our loved one arrived at us within a week and a half. We have already recommended this service to other loved ones, especially those who travel, and will make arrangements for ourselves using Neptune.

Eric was very helpful, informative during the entire process. I’m glad we were pointed in the Neptune Society’s direction as it is exactly what my wife and I were looking for!

Everything went so smoothly and I was very happy not to have to worry about anything. John, Funeral Director, Elizabeth, and all Employees were so helpful and very understanding. The Fort Worth Neptune Society provided exceptional service at the most difficult time in my life–the loss of my best friend, lover, and soulmate. Marlys ensured that society took care of everything. Please extend my thanks to the entire staff.

It’s refreshing to deal with a company that keeps up with their phone calls. If my assigned consultant was busy, usually someone else could help or I got a call back soon from my consultant. Can’t ask for more than this nowadays.

If you want an easy way to take care of a loved one buy a cremation it is the best way to go with Neptune Society. They take the best care of your loved one and treat you with so much respect that it is astonishing how you feel at peace once you get everything done and finalized it was an awesome experience and I truly appreciated their help.

When my husband, Michael, went into the hospital in mid-October I decided to write in a notebook each time I talked to him, doctor notes, visits, discussions, etc.  When Mike came home he would have a diary of what happened while he was away.  I was adding the events of just after his passing, about how confused I was as to why he was so far away, etc., and then Tiffany Allen came to mind.

I filled out a survey that was sent from the Neptune Society but it didn’t give me the opportunity to tell you Tiffany and your assistant Melonie with your soft assuring voice, your patience, your understanding, your “being there” whenever I called, your ability to respond to my needs and go beyond that, meant to me.  You were the helping hands I needed at the worst time of my life.

My father purchased his services prior to his death which made things very easy for me once he did pass. Joseph and his staff were outstanding in helping me understand the process and when to expect death certificates, etc. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during a very hard time for me and my family. Thank You Neptune Society of Austin!!!

Before my dad passed away, he mentioned Neptune Society because of their veteran support, but we didn’t discuss it much. I knew he wanted to be cremated for as cheap as possible. When he died, I opted for a very cheap facility to cremate him, as per his wishes, and it was a nightmare. I ended up calling Neptune Society and I was on the phone with Director John, who I believe was a director in San Antonio but was also working the Austin location, who was able to get my dad out of the facility he was currently in and start the paperwork that same day. I was very concerned that because John knew I was very unhappy with the morgue my dad was at that I would be treated as a hostile customer, but he was very kind and professional. The experience was quick, professional, and also very human. I’m so glad I called Neptune Society to come to rescue my dad’s remains. And it was still cheap so my dad would probably be happy too. 🙂

Using Neptune is one of the best decisions my parents have ever made. Carolyn Roberson of Neptune Society in Plano is so caring and compassionate. When my dad recently died, she kept me updated with everything, every step of the way. Every time we talk, she even asks how my mom is doing. I’ll be planning to use Neptune myself.

I am the last member of my family living. I explained this to Tim. I did not want a service and did not wish to cause any bother or concern to anyone. The way this is planned is my business alone. Tim appreciated my wishes.

Neptune Society staff led by the director, Joseph Dilleree, were very helpful, considerate, and knowledgeable in a difficult time for a lot of people but especially given current pandemic restrictions. We were limited to phone and email correspondence but personal service was certainly present.

The process and paperwork were very easy. No sales pitch. No pressure during a highly emotional time. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends. I will also be using their services for myself.

Veronica and the rest of the staff from the Neptune Society were nothing but compassionate and professional with the loss of my dad. We can’t thank you enough for the ease and compassion you gave us in regards to my mother-in-law’s death. Death is always a difficult thing to deal with; add a pandemic and a severely injured surviving parent, and it is almost unbearable. John was an anchor that we could count on during this stormy time and made everything move along smoothly. We know my father-in-law will be in good hands when he is ready to move on as well.

My parents chose the cremation process. We were apprehensive at first till we met with a Neptune representative. There was no pressure involved. The price range is excellent, information is provided and every question answered. I appreciate all Tim Smith did for us during a difficult time. From the first time I spoke to him, he gave me an assurance that they would handle everything for us. Since our family lives out of state, we needed someone we could depend on and Tim was the godsend we needed. He made the entire process easy and he kept me well-informed on what was taken place. Dignified yet simple, which allowed me to spend my time with family and friends. I needed only make a single trip after all services were complete, and only a single contact at Neptune to ask questions and provide information. No surprises or pressure.

When I heard about the Neptune Society a few years ago, I encouraged my parents (both in their 90’s) to sign up for it.  Each had already decided upon cremation and by signing up in advance, one very large decision and the process were already in place when the time came.  Both my parents have now passed and as their only child, having the Neptune Society there to handle the immediate needs has been wonderful.  All the people I came in contact with were highly professional and caring.  I cannot say enough good things about my experience.  Much gratitude!

My mother recently passed away. I am grateful to Neptune staff for making this such an easy and peaceful transition for me. When we signed up it was promised that your company would lovingly take care of our bodies anywhere in the world we traveled. At the time we were traveling a lot and this brought me comfort. Then, my husband, David was diagnosed with thyroid cancer that traveled to his lungs. The doctors gave him about 6 months to settle things. As we entered hospice care we were glad you were there with us. We had the two boxes with our urns sitting on a shelf. We started a slow down phase that allowed us to take care of most arrangements early and plan the memorial service as my husband wanted it. After 18 months, David finished his time here at home on April 29,2020. The Hospis called you and you came about an hour after he passed. The team was very professional and caring. We sat outside while they placed David on the wheeled cart to take him to your office. When they left they all spoke to us about how much they were sorry about my loss but let me know where they were taking him and assured us he would be cared for lovingly. This was nice to hear but when I came back into the bedroom where he had been a beautiful red rose was lying where David had been. This was so thoughtful and surprising. My sister said David left me the last rose because I would get a rose from on all our special occasions. Thank you for finding our tradition and for giving me silk rose that I can remember your living care at the time I started to miss David so much. I tell my friends that ask about who to talk to about their future home going that the Neptune Society crematorium is a loving and caring company and I know now I can have no worries about my family’s care when I get to join David someday.

It feels good to meet a friendly person who is compassionate and trying to help when you are grieving a loved one. Neptune Society told me what to expect and helped me through the process. I would recommend them If you are looking for a good cremation resource.

I have had the unfortunate experience of having to use this service twice now in three years for my parents.  Fortunately,  Neptune and TIFFANY CURA have made the situation tolerable and easy though the grief has made me mentally unavailable.  I will also buy an account for myself with Neptune as soon as I feel a little better to save my family the hardship that comes with the aftereffects of a loved one passing from this Earth.  Thank you, Neptune.

The Neptune Society Cremation agency was Wonderful in helping our family through a very difficult time. They were caring, genuine, and kind. My mom bought a contract in CA 18 yrs before she died in TX. I made one phone call and her body was taken from the hospital to the care of Neptune Society. I met with Marlys the next day in the office and she patiently walked through our options and explained the process, which was all new to me. It was so easy and smooth! It was also extremely affordable and there were no surprise costs. I was grateful my mom took care of these arrangements before she needed them.

Michael McNew & his amazing staff out of the North Richland Hills, TX location provided world-class service to me and my family upon the passing of my mother recently. From the moment I first talked to Marlys on the phone, I was comforted. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. First, you lose a parent and then you have to figure out what to do next. Your emotions are crazy but you’re trying to be sensible. Not only was the price great… and believe me I checked around.. but once I decided to go with Neptune Society Marlys did everything else… we had choices to make but even that was laid out so simply. My Father and Step-mother had pre-arranged their final wishes in Florida.  They moved back to Texas years later and all the arrangements they made were able to transfer over to Texas.  Ally Stiles was our Neptune Society contact and I am so grateful she was there.  She’s very knowledgeable and helped us deal with the Medical Examiners office.  She was able to transfer my Father over to their care quickly with me signing online documents.   A very stressful time was made easier by the professional and compassionate care from Ally Stiles and the Neptune Society.

Sunday, January 26, 2020, Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the fine people at Neptune Society for the gracious and efficient manner in which they accommodated the passing of our brother, Andrew. Gentle and compassionate in their handling of his sudden demise, they helped us to meet the needs of the moment in a loving fashion. Additionally, the expense of the services rendered was quite reasonable and said services were tailored to the expectations of Andrew’s family and friends. My father had already set up his Cremation. I called the Neptune Society and they took care of everything. They made all the preparations with the Military so it went wonderfully. These girls that work there are the best, Tiffany and Elizabeth made this so much better then it could have been. They are very understanding and caring.

Neptune took care of my sweet Mama very respectfully when she recently passed. After they were notified by me of her death, a director and a dear Chaplain promptly arrived. They were incredibly supportive and very caring. Chaplain Calvin is awesome! The directors and staff were all very compassionate and consolatory, as well as professional and efficient. Death is inevitable but dealing with your loved one’s final disposition doesn’t have to be stressful. With Neptune Cremation Services, I was able to pay on a monthly basis for a plan that was affordable and simple. When the passing occurred, Neptune’s representative handled all of the transportation and paperwork seamlessly. I was able to sign all the documents and return them via email so I didn’t even have to travel to an office. I can only praise Neptune Cremation Services and hope that everyone who reads this will give them an opportunity to do the same for their loved ones.

The following morning after our mother passed my brother mentioned that our mom had been making payments with NS.  We called them and was met with condolences and they immediately assisted and arranged a meet up in the afternoon on that same day.  We found that mom took care of everything which made things so much easier for us.  Our service representative manager, Tiffany Cura, was with us every step of the way from the beginning to the end.  Her gentleness and warmth for our loss were just what we needed.  We were pleased with the experience of care and service we received that we are going to make sure that we register ourselves our own NS contracts so it will be a smooth one for our loved ones to handle when it’s our time to go.   Thank you Neptune Society!

I would highly recommend The Neptune Society if you are interested in having yourself, a friend or a loved one cremated. From the first step of setting up a cremation to actually being cremated, It’s hard enough to prepare for death and I feel like this company goes beyond any other company we consulted to provide you with compassion, dignity, understanding, respect, privacy, service, and knowledge. When my mother passed away it was the most devastating experience of my life. However, our consultant, Ally Stiles of Austin, Tx was so helpful and empathetic with everything. She kept us updated from where and when my mother would be cremated to death certificates to mom being ready to come home. I just can’t say enough good things about how simple and easy she made this for our family. And she has continued to provide us with grieving support. This is a company that I will use again!

Allyse Styles was wonderful after the passing of our mom in June. She was very kind and compassionate toward my dad and answered all his questions. She took all the time we needed to work thru the paperwork required so that we could have all of the things taken care of. Allyse was also great at getting the State of Texas to submit the death certificates to my dad – because there was a delay in the State’s office – and she worked hard to get those certificates to us as quickly as she could. Can’t say enough about the folks from the Plano Office when my husband passed. Tim and Carolyn were very helpful.

Came quickly to Fredericksburg (less than an hour). Professional on a very hard day in a room that did not lend itself to easy acquisition.

When my husband died unexpectedly of a severe heart attack 2 months ago Neptune was there every step of the way to help even though we didn’t have a prepaid plan. They are superior in customer care and service. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I purchased contracts with Neptune for my wife and myself after discussing cremation with an eldercare attorney. He had purchased Neptune contracts for himself and his wife. After a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, my wife passed away recently. Her hospice nurse notified Neptune about 6:30 that morning and they arrived less than an hour later to pick up her remains. We arranged a meeting shortly thereafter to complete the paperwork. Everything was handled in a caring, dignified and professional manner. Alecia kept me informed concerning when the cremation would take place and when I could pick up her ashes. They understand the heartbreak and trauma caused by the death of a deeply-loved family member. They have my highest recommendation.

I lost my son three years ago and just this March of 2019, I again lost “my soul mate” in life. Neptune Society took care of all the cremation with such “compassion”. I have no doubt in my mind that when I pass on, I will be given the same respect and dignity they have given me in my past losses. Our Mom passed away in a nursing facility.  I called the Neptune Society and they came to pick up Mom’s body. I was giving time to sit with my Mom and was told to let them know when I was ready for them to take her body.  A yellow rose was left on my Mom’s bed and that was so touching that I still get teary eyed when I think about it.  I dried the petals and will keep them in her memory box.  I would like to say a special thank you to Ally Stiles for all her help, sympathy,  professionalism and kindness.  She helped our Family through a very difficult time with kindness and understanding.  I would also like to thank the staff at the Austin Neptune Society for their kindness and making the whole process easier and less stressful. I would highly recommend the Austin Neptune Society.

My mom was applying for Medicaid and I had to spend down some of her money. I was told I could prepay her cremation. I heard good things about the Neptune Society so that’s where I went. Paperwork was seamless. When my mom passed, hospice called the NS and they were at the nursing home in an hour. Very friendly and respectful. The funeral director, Alecia, called me a day later to fill out paperwork. She was very empathetic and helpful. She was in constant contact on where we stood in the process. I never had to track someone down. She even found a smaller temporary urn for my mom since I needed to fit both parents in a niche. I told her I was traveling on a flight to take remains back home and made sure I had proper paperwork for TSA. Prepay is the best way to do things if you can. It’ll save loved one’s hassle during a difficult time. Very grateful this process was easy.

Allyse, who goes by “Ally”, could not have a more appropriate sobriquet. With her and her team, our family truly felt we had an ally in the unfamiliar process of handling a loved one’s remains. Especially, because we suddenly found ourselves in need of their services within days of deciding to go with the Neptune Society.

My mom made the arrangements with Neptune Society Plano herself, so I didn’t really know what to expect when she passed. However, Caroline and the staff at Neptune handled the situation in a very professional, caring manner. They filed all of the paperwork promptly (of which there was plenty) and their communication during the entire process was top-notch. Both the urn and outer storage case were beautifully crafted. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend them, and as a matter of fact, my wife and I are going to make final arrangements with them as well.

I was very pleased with the care and compassion we received at Neptune. Carolyn was very helpful and continued to update us on the process. I was extremely pleased with the way everything was handled and explained especially in a time when everything was so difficult.

Ally and the rest of the folks at Neptune were wonderful. They were very caring and handled everything. All I had to do when my mother passed was go down and sign a couple of things and then come back to pick up the remains. It was so simple when the rest of my life was so hectic and complicated. I highly recommend planning ahead and using Neptune when you do.

My uncle recently passed away.  He had prearranged his services through the Neptune society.  The service manager I worked with was kind,  understanding and helped us through the process.  She kept me informed on the progress of everything and was reachable even outside of using business hours when needed.  Nothing about a death in the family is good, but the Neptune society in Austin worked through the process with me and did not add to the burden, which is as good as you can hope for in these situations

Both my parents had made pre-arrangements with the Neptune Society.  The process worked smoothly and professionally and the guidance and help provided were outstanding.  Ally was very good about keeping us informed of the process and making dealing with this event as painless as possible.

My Mom died in Waco on Nov. 18, and per her wishes, Neptune Society (NS) was contacted a few hours later. I believe the nearest NS office to Mom’s city is Austin. By coincidence, that is also my hometown. Though I was still away at the time, helping deal with matters then left undone in Waco, Allyse Stiles already had gotten in touch via my home phone and had left a msg. as well with one of my brothers, so I called and learned some of the preliminaries of what till then for me was unknown territory. Allyse is, as other reviewers have noted, both compassionate and professional, and the next steps have proceeded apace. Her NS services have been exemplary. As she has also offered to assist with arrangements for my mom’s remains to be interred with my dad’s at a Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, our business with my mom is not quite at an end. I have faith she will fulfill high expectations until that matter is resolved as well. Once these things are more settled, I want to look into NS for my own pre-planning of final care. I just lost my Dear Sweet Mother just before Christmas. she lived in Austin and I live in Florida. When the day of her passing came we were caught off guard and didn’t know what to do. I highly recommend Neptune Society for preplanning. My husband and I purchased ours years ago, I convinced my mother to do the same. My mother recently passed away at 93 and we called Neptune. The funeral directors that came to her home were kind. The folks in Plano very efficient, Bonnie helped us quickly and Tim put us at ease. We left knowing that mother was in good hands and was being handled with care.

It started off as a potential disaster but Jannelly Martinez in the Houston office saved the day.
Because my mom moved to Vermont, where there are no Neptune affiliates, we ran afoul of the process when she passed.  When Jannelly learned of the situation she took charge and handled everything seamlessly.
I am so very grateful for her compassion, professionalism, and efficiency. Jannelly was a blessing to my family when we really needed one.

Alecia was very kind and considerate in the way she dealt with our family after the death of my mom. She was truly empathetic and had all the answers we needed during the process of cremation, filing for death certificates, and in getting ready for the funeral. She is a perfect fit for the job of dealing with folks who have just lost a loved one…a very warm and caring individual.

My mother passed away in August of this year and the Neptune Society was there for us right away. She went into Hospice care (super sudden and unexpected) on a Monday morning and my brother called them on Tuesday afternoon on his drive to the airport while coming from California to Texas. Before he got on the plane the Neptune Society had everything set for when my mom passed. She died very quickly at around 11:30 pm on that same Tuesday night and we had to wait for a hospice nurse to arrive and pronounce her time of death because there wasn’t a hospice nurse present when she died. Once that was finalized all we had to do was pull out the card with their number of the Neptune Society on it and call them. They came very quickly even though it was the dead of night. No pun intended. They were so kind to us. They spoke in hushed tones out of respect for what had happened, explaining everything they were going to do to my mother as far as wrapping her and transferring her to the gurney before they ever did anything. Then, when they had moved her and wrapped her for transportation they laid a single yellow Rose on the bed where she had been. It was like they were leaving what they took. A rose for a rose. It was beautiful. The only thing we had to do afterward was to go the next day to the Neptune Society in Austin and sign some paperwork (I’m assuming because nothing had been signed before my mom had died. Remember everything happened super quick) and bring a dress we wanted her cremated in, to them. They explained to us how long (days) it would take for the cremation to occur and why it would take that long and asked how many bags of ashed we wanted. They talked to us about urns and even told us we could buy them someplace else if we found them cheaper within our budget saying if we did buy them elsewhere we could bring them back to them and they would insert the ashes into the urns for us. They were very NON-INTRUSIVE about trying to sell us something. We really appreciated that very much. They called when the cremation was about to begin and again when it was over and then called again when the ashes were ready to be picked up. We felt very well taken care of and honestly couldn’t have asked for better treatment of not only us but also our mother. They were so awesome that us kids decided we were going to be cremated as well and go through the Neptune Society to make our plans. We want our families to be at peace when we pass and we all feel like the Neptune Society really does a great job at this. The reason my brother called the Neptune Society in the first place for my mom was that my dad had died 10 years prior and had done his cremation arrangements through the Neptune Society and they made it very easy on my mom. There was a tiny hiccup with his ashes and how they returned them to us (kind of bags his ashes were in) but it was nothing that would keep us from using them again. We highly recommend them!!

My mom set everything up with Neptune Society. So when she passed away, she had already taken care of all the arrangements. Their service was very thoughtful and very respectful. Their reps were also great, very helpful, and very accommodating.

Tim was our advisor and was in constant communication throughout the process. He was very kind and sympathetic and offered ideas and information that we were unaware of. We would highly recommend Neptune Society when you need your loved ones to be taken care of.

My wife passed away October 2nd, 2018.  The entire team at Neptune Society were professional and of great comfort to our family in the handling of my wife’s remains in this very sad time in our lives.  Everything was documented and we were kept abreast of the entire process as it transpired.  A much-needed goodness in a hard time.  Our family is most gracious for their services.

My step-father passed away September 2018 and had pre-planned with Neptune for his cremation. Michael was wonderful, he worked with my nephew and took care of everything. Another good lesson Rod taught me, pre-plan!

Neptune Society was highly recommended and they’re close to the house, so my husband and I went down there one day. My husband wanted to be cremated, and we went in and bought a package. When he died on July 23rd, we used it and we were very pleased. The people were very nice, considerate and sympathetic.

Handling my brother’s final affairs was stressful for me. Neptune Society was so easy to communicate with. They also explained the process in a way that showed they care about what I was going through. Monica, our representative, was so helpful and quick to respond when I had questions. I don’t think I could have handled it without her.

My mother didn’t wake up on one Friday morning. The nursing home called me very early that day and I rushed to sit with her. Neptune Society had been notified. I was contacted directly by the Neptune Society to give me estimations of their arrival. When the representative arrived she very respectfully and discretely transferred my mother to the gurney. Mother was covered with a beautiful brocade cloth and moved out to an unmarked vehicle equipped to accept and lock the gurney into place. The move of my mother’s body was quick and, I emphasize, respectful.

The next week I was notified when the cremation would take place. A week later I received a call to come to accept mother’s remains and her death certificate. Neptune also contacted the cemetery and, with my input, selected the date of internment.

I was very pleased with the care and service we received. I am very glad, as are our adult children, that my husband and I have our own Neptune Society contracts!

Even though I lived a thousand miles from my late wife, Carolyn Roberson did an excellent job of keeping me informed on my wife’s cremation. Her ashes were quickly mailed to me undamaged. I thank you all for doing a wonderful job.

This feels weird to write a review on my experience with my mom’s cremation but we frequently wrote reviews and notified managers or owners if we had great service. After reading the other reviews, I’m shocked because I had nothing but positive interactions with Ms. Monica at Neptune Society. My mom died unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago and the next day, I contacted Neptune Society about cremating my mom. Monica has been nothing but supportive and professional the entire time, with constant communication about updates and what I needed to do. Honestly, I was so overwhelmed with a lot of things that having someone like her has really helped make this process as smooth as possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my mom and helping me through this insanely difficult time.

Timothy respectfully guided us through the many steps regarding the arrangements for our son. Alecia was amazing through the whole process. We actually live in Houston but my Mom was in Austin after Harvey hit so having someone to handle everything from Austin was a life saver. We live down the street and we’re 2 minutes away from where Neptune is. I go by them all the time but I didn’t know what they are at first. Then I did some checking, and I found out exactly what they are so I used them. I wasn’t expecting my wife to pass away, which was a sudden thing, and I needed to do something quick. Neptune told me everything I needed to do. They gave me all the facts and information that Texas requires for what they have to do, and everything was right. They did everything for me and it went smooth like clockwork. They were fabulous and really great.

I contacted Neptune Society because I did not want my family having to deal with my cremation wishes. They were very professional and left me with the feeling that I indeed made the right decision. When my mother passed, we knew she wanted to be cremated but we hadn’t made any prior arrangements. So, I called a friend that I work with. Her father had just passed in March, although he passed in California, and I asked her if she had any recommendation. She referred me to Neptune Society because that’s who both of her parents had used. We went that afternoon after our mother passed. We dealt with a director named Carolyn and she was wonderful. She was very compassionate, kind, knowledgeable, warm and caring. All is good and we’re very pleased.

The service was exceptional form the purchase of the package several years ago until the cremation this month. Ms. Allen st the Shepherd office was very professional and sympathetic to the death of my husband this month. The service provided was excellent.

Carolyn was absolutely wonderful to work with! The Neptune Society is one of the most professional, warm, compassionate businesses I’ve ever worked with. We have used them twice for family deaths and have two prepaid arrangements. We have NEVER experienced a “hard sell”; only kindness and understanding. Sadly and with very heavy hearts, my sister and I visited the Neptune Society office in Plano, Texas the afternoon of my mother’s passing. Although our mother had been in, we were not prepared for her passing at this time and had made no arrangements. We were referred to Neptune by a friend, as we knew our mother wished to be cremated. Our appointment went as smoothly as it could, and especially because we were raw with emotion. Carolyn Roberson, Funeral Director, could not have been any kinder or compassionate and that made the process so much more bearable. She communicated with us often, giving us updates on the death certificates and the cremation itself. We are more than pleased with the service we received and highly recommend Neptune Society. And the fact that the service was very well priced is an added bonus!

As soon as I walked in the door I was helped. Mrs. Derringer was so nice and comforting to me and my daughter in this time of grieving. Mrs. Derringer gave me all the time I needed to ask anything pertaining to the cremation. She was exact in everything and went through all the procedure step by step. I left there feeling very comfortable with the process. I would give an A++ for the meeting.

Carolyn and the lovely people at Neptune Society were wonderful to work with. Carolyn was personable and very helpful. My father had purchased Cremation Services in 2010 for himself and my mother. My mother died in 2013 and my father just died in July. There were no hitches what-so-ever in taking care of my father once he died in home hospice. Hospice notified the Neptune Society, we had a card with the account information on it. That was it, shortly afterward a car arrived to take my father’s body to the Crematory, two days later I went to Neptune to fill out some paperwork and in 10 days I had my father’s ashes and the necessary death certificates to start closing out his accounts. Thank you for the peace of mind this brought to my siblings and me as we navigate this new territory. I highly recommend their services and I am especially impressed with the pre-payment plan that my father purchased. Everything was paid, save a $52 fee for additional death certificates, and taken care of. Thank you!

My mom and dad made their arrangements with Neptune so we used it when they passed away. Neptune has a very good reputation, and some of my mom and dad’s friends had recommended it as well. When my father passed away five years ago, Neptune came to get him and they were amazing to work with. They gave us as much time as we wanted, and we had already waited quite a while to call them because we wanted some time with him. 

And then when my mother passed away, Marlys was very compassionate and helpful. She took her time and explained everything thoroughly. We got a different urn than the one my mother had because I wanted it to match my dad’s, and Marlys helped me find the one that my dad had gotten to make sure that it was truly the one I wanted. She also helped me get it bookmarked and she helped with what I should put on both sides. Whenever she contacted me, she was so sweet. Her voice was so very soothing. It was the best experience. Also, Neptune sens weekly grief counseling links and information which is very helpful.

Excellent service during the death of my mother.  Tiffany was helpful, caring, and very professional.  Highly recommended this Neptune Society for taking care of your needs during a very difficult time.

We needed a cremation service and when we looked in the telephone directory, Neptune Society was the first one listed. My niece, Carla, just went through this with a family in Oklahoma and so she knew what the difference in the cost was. Since we were gonna have the cremation, and we weren’t gonna have a service, we decided to go with them. We had the obituary in the Houston Chronicle and it took a little bit to get it onto Neptune but Laquita, the rep, was very compassionate, understanding, sympathetic and very nice. We had a prepaid policy and our insurance company told us to ask them if they accepted the insurance. We sat and talked with her about what was offered, about the insurance that we had and what was available.

My mother had pre-purchased packages from Neptune Society for my father and herself. I didn’t have to do anything but go in there, sign papers, and know it was taken care of. Alicia was so amazing. She was friendly and helpful. I had no idea what was going on, I was in a very sad state and she helped me through. She even sent me extra information about things I wanna make sure that I take care of as executor.

After the sudden loss of my son, my daughter and I were looking for a company to arrange for him to be cremated as soon as possible so that we could lay him to rest and get through the hardest day of our lives. It may not have made sense to anyone but us at the time why we wanted this all to be done so quickly but with the stress and heartbreak of everything, we were wanting one ounce of closure and arranging for all of this to be done as soon as possible helped us achieve that. We contacted another company in San Antonio initially but they were so cold and robotic when talking to us about the process and told us it would not be possible to have what we needed to be done in less than two weeks. We were hurting and felt alone in the process and were looking for some guidance since we had never experienced something so tragic and didn’t know the steps to take to get everything arranged for the funeral.

We then found Neptune Society and my daughter spoke with an employee named Callaghan – this changed everything for us. She was kind, soft-spoken, empathetic, and dedicated to making what we needed happen. She called us several times to check in and update us on the process and spoke to her superior about the timeline of what we needed to be done and they made the impossible possible. I am so incredibly grateful I found this company who truly cares about their clients and who’s respect for such delicate matters is unmatched. The darkest time in my life was lightened when they stepped in to take some of the weight off of my shoulders and I will forever cherish that. I recommend their services to anyone looking for a compassionate team that dedicates themselves to bettering the lives of those who are experiencing unmeasurable pain. With Neptune Society, I knew I was dealing with something reputable. My interactions with their staff were like in a hospice, and Carolyn was fantastic. She made a very difficult situation much easier. There was so much dignity in the way that they talked about everything and a lot of respect for what was going on. They don’t know your loved one but it felt like it were among friends.

Neptune Society did everything they said they would do. They kept me informed each step of the way and offered to have me involved or not involved, depending on my comfort. We travel a lot and Neptune provided coverage and travel. I was very pleased with them.

The presentation was excellent. Lisa explained in detail the different promotions that were in effect and answered all my questions. I was very impressed with Lisa. I knew after talking to Lisa and how caring she was that I would choose Neptune. She is an asset to your company.

My mother, sister and I all three took out Neptune plans a number of years ago. Unfortunately, two of those plans have been used. The process was seamless. Both my mother & sister were in our home at the time of their deaths, under Hospice care. Hospice made all the necessary calls, including to Neptune. Neptune staff were very reverent as they made preparations. they kept us in the loop as to what was going on and the time frame. I absolutely would & have recommended Neptune Society

Tim ** was with me for the entire process of taking care of my wife. He was very caring and responsive to all my requests. I could not have had a better person to help me with my wife’s arrangments. I live in Boise and my brother lives in Houston. Neptune Society had pre-set up everything and I was pleased with their decision. They handled everything. I had some paperwork I had to sign and it all got handled quite well. All I had to do was sign them. They had everything all set up, ready to go, then emailed it to me.

I’m sorry to hear the problems others encountered.  My husband and I signed up with the Neptune Society in June, and sadly, he passed in March.  I cannot say enough in praise of them. The entire process was stress-free and worry-free.   All the details were handled immediately and with no problems.  My family and I really appreciated their professionalism and assistance.  I would highly recommend them.

This is the second time in a little over a year my family has used Neptune, they are so respectful and easy to work with, they are with you step by step.

I was interested in getting information. I got a call from your representative who was awesome and friendly. She answered all my questions. She scheduled an appointment for your representative to come to speak with me in person. That experience was fantastic. I have told my friends about my wonderful experience with this company.

My father very recently died and I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful Neptune Society was to work with. From coming to the house to pre-plan to handling everything after he died. They were so kind when we called to report dads death. They had people here at the house to pick him up less than 45 minutes after he was released. The doctor that agreed to sign the death certificate went out of town right after-scheduled to be gone a week and a half and Neptune took care of calling and getting the dr in from her vacation to get it signed. It took one week from the day of his death until his ashes and the death certificate was ready. Every interaction I had there was very compassionate and professional. I can not recommend them enough-the rest of our families cremation needs will be handled by Neptune Society.

This is a first class operation. We chose Neptune for my mother after using a large funeral home when Dad passed. Neptune had been something I looked into after that event. My mother was very clear about her wishes. I’d talked with her a length. Then the time caught us the Neptune people were absolutely delightful to deal with. Highly and gladly recommend this service.

my wife of 39 years passed in February of 2018. We had prepaid for our cremation service from Neptune Society. The service we got, especially from Mayra Ochoa, was outstanding in almost every respect. They did a very good job, overall. I’m satisfied with the results now and satisfied that my own final arrangements are already taken care of by my prepaid plan with Neptune Society.

We would like to commend Mayra ** at the facility in Houston, Texas. During our grief and difficult time, Mayra was so compassionate and kind from day one. She kept us informed of every step by phone call or email. She is a valuable asset to your company. She really has the ability to comfort during the loss of our loved one.

On January 26th, 2018 we learned it was my brother’s badly decomposed body found under a bridge… I didn’t know what to do. I’d never arranged such services but The Neptune Society responded quickly, securely and passionately. I needed to be walked through this process every step of the way and Ms. ** did so patiently and simply. I am still impressed at how easy the entire process was. They just know what to do and how to do it. We’re grateful for their services.

They were able to take care of everything that needed to be completed. I gave them a call when the hospital said they needed to know who would be picking up my wife’s body as it needed to be removed. I called the Neptune Society and they took care of everything from there. I knew of no other option for cremation as I had made no previous plans except my wife wanted to be cremated. All turned out much better than I could have expected given the circumstances.

We contacted the Neptune Society at San Antonio, Texas and talked to an agent about cremation services. After attending a meeting in their office we learned more about their services and had our questions answered. We decided to use Neptune Society for our cremation services and are pleased with our choice. We were able to plan our cremation services for the future and not have our children deal with it. Our experience was as we expected and we recommend their services to anyone that wants to plan ahead of time. Thanks.

There’s a sense of peace knowing when my time comes my arrangements are taken care of and paid for. Now I can go on living my life knowing there are no loose ends for my family to have to deal with. The Neptune Society was easy to work with and I have to say, more cost-effective than a cremation done through a funeral home. I like that my costs will never increase no matter how long I live. The eco-friendly urn is really very nice. I first learned about The Neptune Society from a client’s boss about 20 years ago. I have to thank him for making me aware of you and thank you for providing a wonderful service!

The staff was always caring and professional each time that I was there or had a need. I would highly recommend their services as an alternative to conventional ones. Tiffany, in particular, was always extremely helpful in many ways.

My mother-in-law had the pre-plan services for her and her husband. They lived in Fort Worth and they were the ones that subscribed to it. Then he passed away and everything was taken care of. She moved to New York and then she died in November, so we contacted Neptune Society on her behalf. We knew my mother-in-law had that plan and we knew her wishes. We got a hold of Cindy at the Fort Worth office, and she was wonderful to deal with. It just took all the pressure off of us, and she handled everything just as my mother-in-law wanted. Neptune Society really helped us out and the service was so slick.

The employees were very responsive because she died on a Sunday and by Monday, we had everything in order. They contacted a liaison here, which is another funeral parlor, and they worked with them. They took care of all the paperwork, that all I had to do was go down and write the check out for the death certificates. They were very sensitive, expedient and efficient, and I appreciate their kindness. This experience was so good for us, that now my husband and I are thinking that we should do this for our kids. In case something happens to us, everything is prepaid and taken care of. Neptune Society is kind of unique. It is the best way to go and I would highly recommend them.

My wife and I have a prepaid plan for us. Our daughter became terminally ill, and we knew we needed to find someone we could trust to complete the arrangements. All of the personnel of Neptune were absolutely compassionate, professional, and helpful to our needs. We could not be more pleased with our selection of Neptune.

I have never been in a situation having to make decisions for a loved one. The care and detailed understanding and sense of comfort I received from Neptune Society were outstanding. As it is very difficult when someone you love so many passes. The staff at Neptune Society were just wonderful! Everything was explained in detail and with deep support. They did all the documentation needed to cremate my sister.  Everything was handled with the utmost respect and never felt pressured or rushed to make decisions.

I was very impressed with my Neptune representative; she was knowledgeable and personable, and extremely helpful. Although I have a limited income at present, I was relieved to find that I could afford to be responsible in this regard!

Our experience in dealing with Cindy Lewis Simpson and her assistant was outstanding. Their professional manner, their sensitivity and their seamless effort in dealing with our special circumstance were very much appreciated.

My aunt said she was going to live to 100 but she didn’t quite make it. After her passing, I was the one that had the opportunity to clean out her apartment and settle some things. Neptune Society took care of the cremation and they’ve got a terrible location. They’re just off of the highway and if you exit where you think they are, you’ve already passed them. You got to do a little loop-the-loop to get back there.

They’re extremely nice, though. Being an old codger, it’s nice to be around attractive young women that listen to you and laugh at your jokes. Their receptionist was also very nice to me. They made sure that I had the number of death certificates that I was told was needed. All I had to do was show up and hand them my credit card. The lady talked me into a small urn, too. It’s metal, about two inches tall and about an inch across that you put some of the ashes in. My aunt had a small one in her closet of my uncle’s ashes and I got a small one for my her ashes. The two urns are sitting side by side and Neptune took care of that for me.

My wife and I both have purchased the whole bucket for ourselves. We made a request and a lady came to our house and set up everything. Funerals can be extremely expensive and the thing that I like about Neptune Society was that once it’s paid for, I don’t have to pay for anything else. Everything is pretty much-taken care of. No matter which one of us goes first, everything is taken care of. If you’re in China and you die, they take care of you from that point where you are and get you back. The one thing I hope they have is a minister to reify the services because we’re going to have services. My neighbor did at the cemetery but my aunt made no provisions for that. I would definitely recommend Neptune Society because I’ve seen how much trouble just a normal funeral can be.

Four years ago, I heard about Neptune Society from a friend. They have such a good reputation and I was very impressed with the lady who came out and talked to us about it. We paid $2500 and I know that there are places that are less and places that are more, but there was something about Neptune Society. My husband and I had a big thing off of both of our minds at that time and they’re very good. It seemed like everything would be taken care of, and it was. They did everything they said they would do.

My husband passed on October the 3rd of this year and luckily, we had home hospice, so I was by his side every moment even when he passed. I had to call home hospice and they called Neptune Society because things were already set up. They called me about how much he weighed and I said he lost a lot of weight. Then they sent out a large girl and a small girl who came dressed to the nines in their black and white. They handed me a rose, hugged me and said they’re sorry. I felt like I was their only client in the world. Then we walked in and saw my husband.

They gave me all the time I needed with him. I held him, kissed him and loved him for a while and then, it was time for them to put him out. I asked if I could walk with them and they let me. I’m not sure they’re supposed to do that but it meant the world. I also got to wave goodbye as they put him in. It’s a horrible experience, but it couldn’t have been better. The ashes were spread and I wear around my neck the thing he had on his toe that was left because they had the ashes wrapped in this oval thing that was burned and I adore and wear it. Two or three people think it’s gross, but everyone else thinks it’s magnificent. I love it. Neptune Society was glorious, peaceful and kind. They’re the best and I’d love to work for them part-time.

Staff was amazing. So understanding and let me go through everything at my pace. The extra things that were offered were perfect for my situation. Thank you for your kindness and care of my loved one.

My husband fell, got a brain bleed was showing positive signs daily towards improving and all of a sudden we went from talking about rehab to hospice and he died the next day. All in all it was 7 days. I had not made any arrangements because it was sudden. I called the Neptune Society and they were more than nice and took care of everything for me. Everything was done. All I had to do was sign papers and not worry. Thank you Neptune Society.

I had a fabulous experience with Neptune Society. Cindy was absolutely heaven-sent. She was the person who I personally interacted with and she was just awesome. She was great from the very beginning to the very end. She was so sweet and when I went to pick up my dad’s ashes, she had the candle going and Kleenex, and she was just very, very, very compassionate and sweet. It was just so easy. I just made one phone call, literally.

My partner heard about Neptune Society and had one representative come out to the house to explain it and she liked it. I never met anybody in Neptune that wasn’t so gracious, ready to help and loving towards my partner by doing everything that they could to make her comfortable. They were careful with her and the people that came out to take care of her were wonderful. She loved every one of them which was the important thing. I would highly recommend Neptune.

My mother was in the process of dying and my daughter went online. She found Neptune online, called them and they got right back to her. She felt led and she just picked them. It turned out that I had talked with my great aunt and uncle about Neptune as we were in the process, it hadn’t been paid for yet. They too had purchased Neptune. My interaction with their team was wonderful. It was very straightforward and informative. It was a very difficult time and it was handled very nicely. Plus, the cost was amazing. It was a peaceful experience.

Marlys was a pleasure to work with. She was very informative and helpful. I know my Aunt Marge would have been pleased with the service she received. It makes me glad to have selected the Neptune Society for my funeral needs.

On Oct. 3, 2017, my sweet Bobby was called to join our Heavenly Father in heaven. We had contacted the Neptune Society about 3 years ago, not thinking that we would be using it this soon. Please know that this organization is just absolutely incredible. The dear ladies that came out to receive my Bobby let me take all of the time I needed for goodbyes and kisses. And still this week they are helping me with every single thing that I need and must do. I give this Society a 15 on a scale of one to 10.

Deanna Riepe loved receiving the love and care from Neptune. Each individual from Neptune treated Dee with such love and respect. As her partner, I too experienced a very caring atmosphere and concern whenever they came to help her. Each individual who came and wished they could stay longer.

Mayra, I want to thank you for all you did for Dee. I’m sitting in tears again trying to tell everyone at Neptune thank you for taking such care of my love. She was a special lady. You are all special angels!

Esmerelda was a pleasure to work with. She made a very difficult time bearable. She truly is a professional. She made the process seamless. I can’t say enough good things about her.

The Neptune Society was one of the best decisions my dad ever made. They were dignified, professional and extremely caring. My dad was a member with Neptune Society when he passed away. My mother called there funeral home in the middle of the night, they picked up my dad within 90 minutes, covered him with the American flag since he was in the military and removed his body. We never had to set foot in the funeral home. We ordered the death certificates and signed a couple of documents that were mailed to us, and that was it. There was nothing else that we were expected to do or buy. We just had to pay for the death certificates. It was like having a friend in the funeral business they held our hands through each step. I’ve heard the horror stories from friends who have used local funeral homes. They were pressured into spending incredible amounts of money on needless items. With Neptune Society, my dad paid a minimal amount in the beginning and everything was taken care of. I can’t say enough good things about the funeral directors and the compassion and professionalism they showed our family. I was so impressed with Neptune Society that I pre-arranged my funeral with them. Thank you Neptune Society.

My husband’s wishes were to be cremated, but I had to educate myself to cremation.   I called Neptune because I had heard good things about them.  Then I  chose Neptune Society because, when I called them, they were the most compassionate,and took time to educate me.  At first, I was shocked that it can take so long to get the cremation done, but the process was clearly explained to me.  My daughters were not present when my husband passed and Neptune staff even arranged for my daughters to have closure by letting them visit my husband before the cremation. They were surprisingly affordable which would have put a smile on my husband’s face.

As part of our estate planning my husband and I signed up for Neptune Society, prepaid cremation service several years ago. Having that part of end-of-life planning done took one big piece off the crazy list of things that need to be taken care of when you are in no place to handle lots of decisions and details. The staff was kind and capable, the closing paperwork was simple and the coordination between the local office and California was great.

My father is aging and just celebrated his 90th year of life. He is widowed and has been living with us for over 6 years. We have noticed a gradual decline in his health and needed to understand and prepare for the final moment in his carnal life. The Neptune Society has given us the peace of mind to understand how to properly prepare and deal with one of the most matters in a loved one’s life. It all seems daunting, confusing, and stressful when coming to grips with someone passing from life to life, but knowing that it is all covered ahead of time and all we have to do is make a phone call is very reassuring. Thank you.

Clomer is who I dealt with. We used you for my son that died 5 years ago, but knew nothing because my sister took care of it. He was wonderful and worked so hard, on his own time, to make sure we received her ashes in time for her service.

took over two hours for them to come – they had another death that had come in ahead of us, so we had to wait.  When they did come, they were efficient and very kind.

Thanks to the Neptune Society a grave day was made somewhat special. Throughout the whole process they held my hand. They told me what to expect, what I needed to do and how. I was dealing with my fathers death in Maine and already had so much on my plate. When I called Neptune at the Houston location they already started gathering and making my arrangements for my father. They transferred the body, dealt with the hospital and all of the records.

I have to give some words of praise for Marlys and Clomer. This is our family’s first experience with cremation. It has been an educating experience to say the least. These two folks were so patient with our MANY phone calls and emails and had very quick response time to any questions. They were very compassionate dealing with myself and my mother. They handled the body transport, cremation and ashes spreading promptly and with compassion. Death certificates were available in 16 days. Urn and related box were attractive and effective. I was very happy with their service and professionalism.

There was a problem with my wife’s date of death that should not have happened but it was corrected with only a delay of her cremation and I had a concern about my arrangements with no family in the area. My meeting with Esmeralda Alvarado-Mercado gave me the confidence and assurance that my arrangements would be done per my request. Esmeralda impressed me with her knowledge and sincere attitude that I had no reason to be concerned about my arrangements because she made sure all the paper work was in order. I want to commend her for the compassion, consideration and professionalism that she has shown me during a difficult time.

My experience with the Neptune Society was the best anyone could ask for. My parents made the arrangements 5 years prior to my father getting sick. They handled everything and professionally. The gentlemen who picked up my father were kind enough to wait for a family member to arrive. They came in a car and not a morbid hearse and they left a rose on his pillow. The office staff were extremely kind and thorough. Compared to other crematoriums, the prices are reasonable and clear. They do not nickel and dime you to death. The encounter was so positive that I am ready to set up a policy for myself and will certainly suggest them to others. They made a horrible experience tolerable!

I have a pre-paid plan with Neptune. I did this because I didn’t want my only child to have to make difficult decisions at a most difficult time. I also didn’t want anyone to have to come up with exorbitant amounts of money suddenly. That is just not fair to anyone – especially those you love! I have made all the decisions and paid for everything ahead of time. When my time comes, it will be much easier on everyone. I feel good knowing that my loved ones surviving me will not have to worry about anything but saying goodbye and getting on with life. I did this because I love my family.

When Mom died last month, The Neptune Society took care of her remains with dignity and handled everything professionally. The pre-planning allowed us the opportunity to mourn our loss rather than spend our time negotiating with funeral directors, wondering what our Mom wanted for her services. I will probably arrange my cremation through the Neptune Society as well.

My father passed away on October 22, 2015. He had his plan through Neptune Society. They were awesome! The caring for my dad’s body and for me and my family was very reassuring. I would use them for myself for sure. Chris Tapia is the best.
